What if my jewellery contains a mixture of metals?
We'll give you an individual price for each different piece of metal we receive.

Should I include the box with the jewellery that I send?
No. Please do not send any boxes as we are unable to return them.

What happens if the market value of my gold changes after I’ve sent my items?
Our prices are based on the London Gold Fix price for gold which is set at 10:30am and 3pm daily. Our valuation will be based on the London Gold Fix price at the time we receive your items. We will then contact you with an offer for your gold which will be valid for 24 hours from the time the contact was made. If you decide NOT to accept the offer, your items will be returned to you by special delivery. Please note that we reserve the right to charge for postage and packaging when returning items.

What if my gold does not carry a hallmark?
As soon as we receive your gold we will analyse it for purity and weight. Non hallmarked gold may require further testing. Should this require extra time we will contact you and let you know.

What happens if my gold weight does not match yours?
We have specialist jewellery scales and will inform you of the exact weight of your gold after our analysis.

How will I know if you have received my gold/jewellery?
We’ll email you to keep you updated with every step of the process. If we have not received your package within a few days of you sending it, we will phone you.

How will I know how much my gold is worth?
Call one of our gold specialists free on 0800 612 2304 for a guide price. We will be able to give you an approximate value based on what you tell us but ultimately we will not know until we weigh and test your gold.

The gold quote is an estimate. How do I know what your final price will be?
When we receive your package we will test each item individually to determine its weight and gold content. After we have tested all your items, we will contact you with a firm offer.

What if I’m not happy with the offer?
If for any reason you are not happy we will return your gold to you via Royal Mail Special Delivery. This may be subject to a postal charge.

I’m happy with the offer, how do I get paid?
We will contact you and give you the choice of bank transfer or cheque. All you need to do is supply your sort code and account number. We'll do the rest. Cheques will be made payable to the name on the application form and sent by First Class post to the address provided.

What is the procedure for testing gold?
We have a state of the art gold testing procedure to make sure you get paid for exactly what your gold is worth.

Is my jewellery insured through Royal Mail?
All parcels sent through Royal Mail Special Delivery can be fully insured to a maximum of £2500.00. Your parcel can be tracked via the Internet and a signature is obtained upon delivery to ensure its safe arrival. It’s a service that's safe and secure. We advise all of our customers to use it.

Do you buy coloured gold?
Yes. White and rose coloured gold is purchased at the same rate as standard gold.

What about gemstones in my jewellery?
We do not purchase gemstones. Any gemstones within items of gold received cannot be returned. We recommend you remove these gemstones from any item you send.
